I recently collaborated with Oriel College, University of Oxford, on a short video created for the college’s social media platforms, where I discuss the technology behind self-driving cars and some of the key questions around their safety and deployment ahead of their launch in London.
The video explores how autonomous vehicles perceive their surroundings, make decisions in real time, and the role that AI and statistical reliability play in ensuring safe operation in complex urban environments. As someone working at the intersection of AI, engineering, and reliability, it was great to have the opportunity to help explain these ideas to a broader audience in an accessible way.
